Hydra is about water, in all of its aspects: source of creation, our daily sustenance, basic need of all earth residents, object of future wars, scientific research, etc. & certainly the subject of deep space probes. But, our interest is about the influence that all of this can and does have on the artistic process. This is certainly not a new area of interest, but it is one that is absolutely timely, more now than ever. Hydra - so heisst ein Festival, das im November 2010 in Bonn stattfinden wird. Hydra - hier geht es um Wasser in all seinen Aspekten: Quelle der Schöpfung, unsere tägliche Versorgung, Lebensgrundlage aller Erdenbewohner, Objekt zukünftiger Kriege, Thema wissenschaftlicher Forschung bis hin zur Beobachtung durch Raumsonden... Unser Interesse hngegen liegt in dem Einfluss, den all dies auf den künstlerischen Prozess hat. Das ist vermutlich kein neuer Gedanke, aber ein Thema, das unbedingt zeitgemäss ist, mehr als je zuvor.
